Ashley's Ash Tree & Kitties, Dogs, and Chicks!

I usually start each post with my favorite new picture, so here goes:

A couple of weekends ago, Jeremy got a great deal on an Ash tree at an auction by our house.

You might remember that we planted an Ash tree in '08 to celebrate Ashley's birth, but my horse, Murphy used it for a scratching post and destroyed it. :(

So, here's Ashley's second Ash tree - better known around here as "the Ashley tree".

But first, digging the hole...

Time for the tree... thank goodness for tractors!

NO clue where she learned how to do this, but I see an emergency room visit in our future...

Ashley has been afraid of our other dog, AJ (mostly because he is so big and has never really outgrown the puppy sage) - so Jeremy taught her to play fetch with him from her swing (where she is "safe").

She liked it so much, that she even worked up the courage to try it from the ground!

Gran and Grandpa will be raising chickens again.
